The amenities were excellent, especially the
Staff's friendliness and attentiveness. The nature surrounding the resort creates a serene atmosphere. The gym had a stale smell which could use an upgrade. A great stay in a beautiful location, just be mindful of some facility issues.

My room with direct view over the jungle, WiFi, as for instance was gorgeous and fantastic. I really enjoyed the tasty and very very good breakfast served for vegetarians. The hotel had a secluded location right next to the National Park. Plus, it was near the wild lush green forest around the resort, the Melinau river and the lobby/restaurant.

We had such great stay.
Everything was simply really good. In relation to the reasonable price paid, it was 1st class place to stay with EXCELLENT service.

The essentials, minus the fluff
This hotel offers a unique experience with spacious, comfortable rooms and private balconies nestled in the jungle. The free shuttle service streamlined our adventures to the national park, and the breakfast buffet was a good treat. The complimentary umbrellas were a thoughtful touch during sudden rain showers. A nice escape!

Cosy rooms, with great Air con, lovely little balcony felt like in midde of jungle. nice pool, food not the best - made for all hotel, buffet style, and not the best quality. but staff friendly andhelpful, overall a great stay.
Paying 6 ringets per person per way to get to the national park, which was 2km away, by smokey diesel stinky van was a total rip off!

The buffet dinner and entertainment included in the room rate. This is a plus after a long day of trekking.
The distance from the national park and shuttle is not complimentary. Given the price per room, the shuttle to & from the national park should be complimentary.

great jungle escape but with some limitations
Our Beautiful Twin Room exceeded my expectations-spacious with an comfortable bed! The amazing views from the room really allowed us to enjoy nature at its finest. The pool area seemed like a true oasis amidst the jungle, a perfect spot for relaxation. The breakfast offered a good variety that catered to different tastes.
Despite the amazing amenities, the internet connection in our room left much to be desired.

Friendful and extremely professional staff. You do not know what hospitality means if you haven't visited Malaysia and, definitely, royal mulu resort's staff is one of the brigthest jewel of malaysian hospitality. Two thumbs up!

The beds were fantastic; usually beds in Asian hotels are as hard as the floor. My room (103) was a bit far from the dining room, esp. in the rain...but it was quiet. The guys at the tour desk were helpful and kind. I would recommend this place to my friends...and, in fact, I already have!
The price of water is ridiculous; a 2 ringgit bottle in Penang costs 8 ringgit at your place. Made me drink tap water. Don't be greedy. You have a great hotel...but don't sock your guests with over-the-top prices. Even the drinks--10 ringgit for a Coke Light in the restaurant--is way beyond expectations. It's simple greed. Stop it or your will lose guests..

great location to see Mulu,
showing its age, could use a face lift and the food was not good

Room and location in relation to Mulu National Park. Friendly staff.
High charges for everything additional to room and meals. Drinks and other services sold at vastly inflated prices. Luckily the park attractions are not inflated from the true price. Ensure you arrive with lots of cash or a high credit card limit. There is plenty of food on the buffet, but the quality is mediocre.

The open-air design of the hotel allows you to soak in the jungle vibes, perfect for lounging by the pool or enjoying cocktails at the bar while surrounded by nature. The view from the room's bathtub overlooking the rainforest adds a unique touch to your stay.
The a la carte menu in the restaurant lacks variety and quality, with limited vegetarian options often unavailable. Accessibility is an issue, as some rooms are a significant distance from the main facilities, leading to a cumbersome trek for meals and activities. Restaurant prices feel inflated given the offerings. The organization of park activities leaves much to be desired, with little information provided at the hotel and confusing pick-up arrangements post-excursions.
